Recently someone said to me, “I love how different all your sessions look.” And my answer was, “They’re meant to.”
No two families move through the world in the same way, so why would should their photos be identical? Photographing the same location or even the same family will still always look different within my sessions. Weather changes, light shifts, children grow and your family dynamics alter.
Your family photographs shouldn’t look identical to your neighbours, friends and strangers just because you used the same photography studio or you had your sessions at Westbrook Bay, Botany Bay or Margate town. They should look like you and your family.
When you book a session with me, you’re not stepping into a fixed formula or rigid plan. You are bringing your people, your energy and your connection at a location that is important to you.
Some families arrive soft and quiet, happy to stay close, whispering jokes and holding hands. Others arrive like a beautiful whirlwind of movement, noise and laughter. Some need a little gentle guidance to settle in and others need space to let the energy spill out.
I am here for it all, there is no ‘right’ way to be.
This is why I don’t offer short sessions very often. Your energy leads the way, I shape the session around you.

I focus on the the way your family interacts, the way you hold each other, the way your children reach for you, the in between moments, the almost moments and the laughter that spills out unexpectedly. The quiet pauses you don’t even realise mattered until you see them frozen in time.
